Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - Governor Brad Little recently returned from a trip to Washington, D.C., where he met with President Donald Trump and several members of his cabinet. The purpose of the visit was to offer support for the administration's efforts and to advocate for issues specific to Idaho.
During his time in the nation's capital, Governor Little expressed his pleasure at being able to meet with President Trump and his team. He described the visit as productive and patriotic, and even extended an invitation for the president to visit Idaho in the future.
The governor's meetings in Washington covered a wide range of topics, including discussions with President Trump about how Idaho LAUNCH aligns with the administration's vision for American workers. They also talked about the negative impact of the ongoing government shutdown on Idahoans, with Governor Little emphasizing that every day it continues results in more suffering for Americans.
Governor Little also met with House Speaker Mike Johnson to discuss the devastating effects of the shutdown, particularly on SNAP benefits for millions of Americans.
