New six-session program helps partner account managers evolve from relationship managers to active revenue producers and drive revenue growth
VIENNA, Va. - TelAve -- The Institute for Effective Professional Selling (IEPS) today announced the launch of the IEPS Partner Revenue Academy, a six-session, virtual professional development program designed to help OEM/ISV partner account managers become more active contributors to pipeline, opportunity development and revenue growth.
The program will kick off September 11 and run through November 20 and will provide participants with practical frameworks, strategies and skills they can immediately apply to their partner relationships. The curriculum focuses on helping professionals move beyond activity-based partner management to become more proactive in identifying opportunities, creating value with partners and driving measurable business outcomes.
The program is designed for partner account managers, channel managers, alliance professionals and others responsible for generating growth through strategic partnerships. It also helps channel and partner executives create greater consistency, accountability and revenue focus across their organizations.

"The expectations for partner professionals have changed dramatically," said Fred Diamond of the Institute for Effective Professional Selling. "Strong relationships are no longer enough. Partner account managers must increasingly think and act like sellers. They need to identify opportunities, influence pipeline, mobilize partners and help accelerate business to close."
Throughout the six sessions, participants will learn from experienced partner, sales and business leaders while working alongside peers facing similar challenges. The interactive format emphasizes practical application, discussion and the exchange of strategies participants can bring back to their organizations.
IEPS created the Partner Revenue Academy to help organizations close that gap as companies across the technology industry continue to make significant investments in building and expanding partner ecosystems yet many partner professionals are still primarily measured by activities such as partner engagement, meetings, enablement and relationship management rather than their direct impact on revenue.

"Partner ecosystems have become an increasingly important growth strategy for technology companies," Diamond said. "The opportunity now is to ensure the people managing those relationships have the selling skills and revenue mindset necessary to capitalize on that investment."
The Partner Revenue Academy is part of IEPS' expanding portfolio of professional development programs designed to help sales and revenue professionals perform at a higher level.
