Invopak showcase packaging Innovation at ChemUK 2026
TelAve News/10897492
BIRMINGHAM, U.K. - TelAve -- ChemUK, held at the NEC, is the annual show for the chemical, process engineering and formulated products sector. The exhibition is a highlight of the chemical industry calendar, and it was the perfect place for leading packaging supplier Invopak to showcase their eco-UN range. Sustainability through innovation has been central to packaging evolution in this most demanding of sectors, and Invopak has led the way in bringing new products to market.
The company's product showcase included Tournaire's Omni Plus™ aluminium bottles that are designed for recyclability, showing that there's no need to compromise performance for sustainability. There was also an opportunity to view a selection of their UN approved recycled plastic containers. A popular range that includes jerry cans, barrels and IBCs. These chemical-safe practical solutions are helping to close the loop on plastic packaging.
Sustainability was a thread that ran throughout the show, and there were thought-provoking talks on PFAS, the bioeconomy, green chemistry and sustainable chemical science. The number of talks on these issues underlined how aware the industry is of the need to adapt to meet the challenge of environmental responsibility within the chemicals sector.

There were also several well-attended regulatory talks, including ones on net zero, REACH, and even "reducing your regulatory burden", a nod to the amount of compliance that is necessary in the sector. These regulations also have implications for the type of packaging that can be used within the chemicals industry.
It's a sign that the pace of change in the world of chemicals shows no sign of slowing down, as Invopak's (https://invopak.co.uk/) CRO Scott Sandilands explains, "Safety and compliance have always been vital for our chemicals customers. The big change in recent years has been the amount and nature of packaging legislation. The need for BPA-free and PFAS-free plastics and lacquers and improved recyclability of containers has meant businesses have needed to adapt. Invopak's role is to ensure that these businesses have durable packaging solutions that they can trust, whilst also complying with all regulatory requirements. Engaging with the chemicals industry, through shows like ChemUK, is a great way for us to share and learn with industry experts, suppliers and customers, so we can provide them with the packaging they need to get their products to market with confidence."
