Filmmaker & Martial Artist Chip Perro Kicks Off New LA Project

LOS ANGELES - TelAve -- Japanese culture has influenced American audiences for decades.  From martial arts and video games to the long form storytelling of anime.  Screenwriter and martial artist, Chip Perro wants to blend the strengths of Japanese and American storytelling in an all-new Hollywood story about eight movie stars who find themselves off their movie sets and into a real world sci-fi martial arts adventure.  His upcoming project is a sci-fi martial arts saga titled Teriyaki Chicken Rescue.

A 30-year practitioner of Shotokan Karate, earning his Black Belt through the Japanese Karate Association (JKA) as well as a prolific screenwriter, Perro is ready for this next adventure.  His Massachusetts based production company is establishing a bi-costal presence.  Now casting and training West Coast actors for the film, Teriyaki Chicken Rescue is poised to reinvent martial arts cinema.  "The best martial arts action is performed by real martial artists," explains Perro.  Trained through the Japanese Karate Association, under the instruction of Sensei Eiji Toryu, Perro has blended authentic martial arts instruction with an eye towards the silver screen.  Teriyaki Chicken Rescue will kick its way into production later this year!
