TelAve News/10900796
Jerusalem ranked No. 7 globally and was the highest-ranked destination in the Africa and Middle East region, based on votes from more than 207,000 readers worldwide.
ATLANTA - TelAve -- Jerusalem has been named the seventh-best city in the world in Travel + Leisure's 2026 World's Best Awards, making it the highest-ranked destination in the Africa and Middle East region.
This year marks the first time Jerusalem has ranked among the world's top 10 cities in the annual survey.
The rankings are based on the magazine's annual readers survey, which attracted more than 207,000 participants and generated more than 661,000 votes across cities, hotels, airlines, cruise lines and other travel-related businesses worldwide.
"It's especially rewarding to see Jerusalem recognized by travelers themselves," said Lorin Maugery, Consul-Director for the Israel Ministry of Tourism, US Southern Region. "Whether visitors from the Southern United States come for faith, history, culture or cuisine, Jerusalem leaves a lasting impression. We're proud to share this recognition and look forward to welcoming even more travelers from our region to experience the city for themselves."
