JMAC Announces Major Dojo Expansion to Elevate Training Experience in Ann Arbor
TelAve News/10890038
ANN ARBOR, Mich. - TelAve -- JMAC, a leading martial arts academy serving the Ann Arbor community, has officially unveiled a major dojo expansion designed to enhance training quality, safety, and student experience across all levels of martial arts practice, with a strong focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
The expansion reflects JMAC's commitment to providing a high-performance training environment that supports both technical development and long-term athlete growth. The newly upgraded facility features expanded training space, additional springboard flooring, and increased mirror placement to create a more open, functional, and professional training atmosphere.
One of the most significant upgrades includes the installation of new springboard floors, which improve shock absorption, joint protection, and overall comfort during training. This enhancement allows for safer takedowns, improved impact control, and longer training sessions—particularly beneficial for live rolling, scrambles, and high-intensity drills.

The expansion also introduces additional mirrors throughout the training area, providing students with real-time visual feedback to improve posture, positioning, and movement mechanics. This design supports faster learning, stronger technical precision, and improved body awareness during instruction and drills.
Beyond physical upgrades, the new layout creates a more open and expansive environment that enhances class flow, visibility, and safety while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for new students. The updated design supports structured instruction, improved class organization, and a training experience that aligns with the growing community of practitioners training in BJJ Ann Arbor.
Advancing the Future of Martial Arts Training in Ann Arbor
This upgrade positions JMAC as a premier martial arts training destination in the Ann Arbor area, offering a modernized space that reflects the academy's standards of excellence, discipline, and professional instruction.
