TelAve News/10595856
SARASOTA, Fla. - TelAve -- Joe Rogan's obsession for trippy eyeball art has recently drawn his attention to optical illusion makeup artist, Mimi Choi. Known for her talent to create viral, mind bending hyper-realism, Choi's most recent eyeball art stunned over 138,000 fans on Rogan's Instagram post.
"This is that insanely talented makeup artist we talked about on the podcast, Monday." Rogan posted on Instagram. "The paint is so accurate, you're looking at the video, and you're like 'what the f- am I looking at?'" he shouts out during his podcast. Choi dared to take Rogan's remark a step further with a trippy video version of his repost. On Monday, September 23, Choi's 1.2 million Instagram followers were awestruck by eleven eyes, rotating in a hypnotizing Plotagraph. The looping phenomenon was created by motion artist, TheGlitch, and pulled in 72 thousand views within the first day.

Choi's eerily circulating eyes are the result of iOS app, Plotaverse. The photo and video app previously made headlines when Joe Rogan reposted a gravity defying Plotagraph, announcing Joey Diaz's Netflix Showcase at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Plotaverse allows creatives to add seamlessly looping motion to any still photo with baffling results. Last year's Halloween season ignited a flood of viral, eye-popping Plotagraphs on Instagram.
Plotagraph and PlotaFX were among the most widely used apps for posting festive, attention grabbing videos on Instagram and Facebook. Mimi Choi and 2019 Emmy Award winner, Butch Locsin, took millions of fans by storm with spellbinding Halloween Plotagraphs. The small family of artists behind the app listened to the voices of their community, and decided to separate these popular apps from their Plotaverse app suite for easy social media posting.
