~ As the holiday season approaches, Treadwell Arena is gearing up to host two beloved annual events for the community. On Wednesday, November 26 from 8 to 9:15 p.m., the rink will be transformed into a bowling alley for Turkey Bowling. This unique twist on the classic game involves using a frozen turkey as a bowling ball. Participants can compete to win a turkey by knocking down the most pins and then enjoy a free skate session.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Juneau-Gastineau Rotary, this event is completely free of charge. But that's not all - on Friday, November 28 from 7 to 8:15 p.m., Santa and his elves will be lacing up their skates for Santa Skate. This event, sponsored by Douglas Fourth of July Committee, offers another opportunity for families to come together and enjoy some holiday fun on the ice.
