Juneau: Sigoowu Ye Park Now Open, Ribbon Cutting on August 29

~ The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation department has announced the completion of updates to Sigoowu Ye Park, also known as Fun Place Park, in Lemon Creek. The park officially opened to the public on Friday, July 31, showcasing new playground equipment, upgraded pathways and landscaping, and improved lighting. These changes were made based on feedback from local residents and the community.

To celebrate the reopening of the park, the Parks & Recreation department is inviting community members to a ribbon cutting ceremony and community BBQ. The event will take place at Sigoowu Ye Park, located at 5921 Pine Street in Lemon Creek, on Saturday, August 29 from 12 to 2 p.m. This will be a great opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy the newly renovated park.
