Lee County Legal Aid Society to host Bacchus Bash fundraiser in March
TelAve News/10889160
FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Lee County Legal Aid Society will host a Bacchus Bash fundraiser on Friday, March 20, at Collaboratory, inviting supporters to step into an evening inspired by Roman antiquity and dedicated to expanding access to justice for local residents.
"Equal justice shouldn't depend on your bank account," said Andrew Banyai, Lee County Legal Aid Society executive director. "Bacchus Bash helps us keep that promise by funding the free legal services that protect families, stabilize housing and give people hope when they feel they have nowhere else to go."
Designed as a high‑energy social event rather than a formal program, the Bacchus Bash will feature a cork pull as well as great wines, Mediterranean inspired food by G3 Catering, an open bar with three signature cocktails and matching mocktails, music by Lion Warrior Productions, photo booth and themed décor. Togas or other costumes are welcome, but not required – otherwise, relaxed elegance is appropriate. Sponsorships are still available.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward supporting the Legal Aid Society and its mission to provide free civil legal assistance to low‑income residents of Lee County, ensuring individuals have access to legal help in critical areas of need.
The organization's attorneys and certified legal representatives support clients facing family law issues, landlord‑tenant disputes, housing concerns, probate matters, employment and wage challenges and other civil legal problems.
Since opening its doors in 1967, the organization has focused on protecting vulnerable residents by addressing the systemic barriers that prevent people from accessing the justice system. Its mission extends beyond casework, emphasizing compassionate advocacy, legal education and community engagement.
Through volunteer involvement, partnerships and programs that support at‑risk youth, families and individuals navigating housing instability, Lee County Legal Aid Society works to strengthen the well‑being and legal resilience of the broader community.

About Lee County Legal Aid Society
Founded in 1967, Lee County Legal Aid Society is a private, nonprofit organization that provides no-cost civil legal aid to low-income residents of Lee County. The organization helps narrow the access to justice gap among those who cannot afford a private attorney in civil cases. In partnership with the Lee County Clerk of the Court, Lee County Legal Aid Society offers free, 20-minute "self-help" legal clinics that pair attorneys in private practice with those in need of legal services.
