Lineus Medical Hits the Coast, Signs Distribution Agreement with Capitol Medical to Cover the Mid-Atlantic Region of United States
TelAve News/10720341
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. & HARRISBURG, Pa. - TelAve -- After securing two new distribution partnerships in the final months of 2021, Lineus Medical continues to expand its distribution network with the addition of Capitol Medical, a specialty medical distributor based out of Harrisburg, PA. The Capitol Medical sales team services the Mid-Atlantic region, covering West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. The group employs 5 salespeople covering this geographic territory.
"With the Mid-Atlantic region being so densely populated, we knew it was critical to find a top tier group to represent us in this territory," Vance Clement, CEO of Lineus Medical stated. "With Capitol Medical's experienced team and proven track record of sales success, we expect this to be fruitful partnership for both parties."

"Capitol Medical is thrilled to partner with Lineus Medical and we believe SafeBreak Vascular is going to be a game changer for patients and nurses," said John Bixler, Sales Manager at Capitol Medical. "Representing innovative products that improve patient care is core to our mission, so we're excited to add SafeBreak Vascular to our product portfolio."
SafeBreak Vascular is a break-away connector that fits into any peripheral IV line on any standard luer lock in the world. The device is designed to separate when damaging force is placed on an IV line, reducing vein irritation and the chances of the IV dislodging. When the device separates, valves on each side of the device close to stop the flow of medication from the pump and blood flow from the patient's IV catheter. The separated SafeBreak can be replaced with a new, sterile SafeBreak and the IV restarted without the need for another needlestick for the patient.

SafeBreak Vascular reduces the failure of peripheral IV lines and the negative cascade of events that occurs when an IV restart is required. Peripheral IVs fail 46% of the time before their intended use is complete according to the clinical literature and cost the US healthcare system over $5B annually2.
