Matula Games Sends Players to the Dark in New Idle Game "Idle Hands," Out July 6 on Steam
TelAve News/10899989
AUSTIN, Texas - TelAve -- Independent studio Matula Games today announced that Idle Hands, an idle game about working your way down through Hell one tap at a time, launches on Steam on July 6, 2026.
Idle hands do the Devil's work — and in Idle Hands, that's the entire job. Players tap to summon demons, raise an infernal workforce, and claw their way down through all nine Circles of Hell, from Limbo at the top to the frozen treachery at the bottom, where the Devil himself is waiting.
Descend, and grow stronger. Every descent is a bargain. Players surrender everything they've built — their demons, their power-ups, their entire workforce — in exchange for a permanent multiplier that makes the next circle pay out far more. Nine circles, each one richer and stranger than the last.
Gamble at the Crossroads. A figure waits where the roads cross, and he deals in souls. Players stake what they've earned on a single roll, with a risk dial that's entirely theirs to set: bet small and the odds turn against you, bet big and the swings turn brutal. Walk away with a fortune — or get Cast Down to Limbo for your greed.

Battle the Devil. Reach the bottom and Satan takes notice. He'll steal from the player's hoard and dare them to take it back in an escalating tapping duel that intensifies with every win. Beat him, and he returns stronger. The fight never ends the same way twice.
Bank souls, climb forever. Resurrecting converts a run into Souls, a permanent currency players spend on powers that carry across every future descent. True to the genre, Idle Hands respects the player's time: tap actively for a faster climb, or set it down and let the demons earn while you're away.

About Matula Games
Matula Games is a small independent studio making small, strange, lovingly over-engineered games — the kind that start as "what if?" and somehow ship. No focus groups, no committee, no roadmap. Just ideas chased to their logical (and occasionally illogical) conclusion.
