Maven Trading's Two Step Omo Challenge Is Becoming a Trader Favourite for Consistency-First Rules and News Trading Flexibility

Omo Wide 1
DUBAI SILICON OASIS, UAE - TelAve -- Maven Trading, an education-focused trading simulation platform, today announced growing demand for its Two Step Omo Challenge, as more traders choose a ruleset designed to reward repeatable skill, disciplined risk management, and real-market participation.

The Two Step Omo challenge is a two-phase evaluation built to identify skilled, consistent traders. Participants aim to reach a 6% profit target in Phase 1 and an 8% profit target in Phase 2, while staying within clearly defined risk limits. The higher Phase 2 target is designed to confirm that performance is repeatable, not a one-time outcome.

"Traders are choosing Omo because it's structured, but it doesn't force artificial trading behaviour," said Jonathan Alexander, CEO of Maven Trading.

Why traders are choosing Two Step Omo
Maven Trading attributes Omo's rapid adoption to a ruleset that balances flexibility with discipline:
  • Consistency-first evaluation: Two phases with escalating targets (6% then 8%) to validate repeatable performance.
  • Clear risk framework: A static 8% maximum drawdown calculated from the starting balance, plus a 4% daily end-of-day (EOD) drawdown limit.
  • News trading flexibility in evaluation: News trading is fully permitted during Phase 1 and Phase 2, allowing traders to participate in volatility without restrictive windows.
  • Anti-gaming guardrails: A 150-second minimum hold time discourages ultra-short scalping designed to exploit micro-moves rather than strategy.
  • Gold trading capability: Traders receive 100:1 gold leverage, giving additional flexibility in how they express their strategy within the rules.

In the funded stage, news trading remains allowed, with a per-event profit cap designed to limit outsized gains from extreme volatility spikes while supporting sustainable trading behaviour.
