~ Boston Parks Come Alive with Roundhead's Beer Garden Series

As the summer season kicks off, Boston residents and visitors can look forward to a new way to enjoy the city's parks. Roundhead's Beer Gardens, a popular series that combines food, beverages, and community gathering spaces, will be making its way to six different parks throughout the city.

The series, which began earlier this month at Copley Square Park, will continue through September 19. Mayor Michelle Wu expressed her excitement for the return of Roundhead's Beer Gardens for a third season, stating that it adds to the already vibrant activities taking place in Boston's parks.

"We're activating public spaces, supporting local businesses, and creating welcoming places for residents and visitors to enjoy all season long," said Mayor Wu.

Diana Fernandez Bibeau, Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Deputy Chief of Open Space, also shared her enthusiasm for the partnership with Roundhead Brewing Company. She believes that collaborations like this help activate the parks while supporting local businesses and creating vibrant spaces for people to connect and enjoy the outdoors.

This year marks the third year of a three-year contract between the City and Hyde Park-based Roundhead Brewing Company. The company was founded in 2017 by Luis Espinoza, making it Massachusetts' first Latino-owned brewery.

"We're happy for this opportunity to work with the City and show what we are doing here at Roundhead," said Espinoza. "We are proud to bring people together in our City to celebrate community and spend time together."

The idea for Roundhead's Beer Gardens came about in 2023 when the City issued a Request for Proposals for a seasonal mobile outdoor hospitality opportunity that includes alcohol service. Since then, it has become a popular summer event in Boston.

The Beer Garden Series will operate from Friday to Sunday at each location during specific hours. These include 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Fridays, 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. Additionally, the Beer Garden at Copley Square Park will also be open on Tuesdays from 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to coincide with the Copley Square Farmers Market.

The schedule for Roundhead's Beer Gardens is as follows:
