~ Mesa Public Library Celebrates National Library Card Sign-Up Month with Special Collaboration
As National Library Card Sign-Up Month approaches, the Mesa Public Library is gearing up for a month-long celebration to encourage everyone to visit their local library and sign up for a library card. This year, the library has partnered with Laufey, the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist and New York Times Bestselling Author of Mei Mei The Bunny, to offer a special limited-edition library card.
The Mesa Public Library design is one of nearly 50 Laufey Book Club collaborative public library cards launched around the world. This partnership aims to promote the importance of libraries and reading while also providing a unique and collectible item for book lovers.

For those interested in obtaining a Mesa Public Library card, they are free for anyone who lives in Maricopa County for at least 30 consecutive days a year, or who works, owns property or attends school within the County. New members can simply visit any branch with a photo ID and register for their card. The Mesa Public Library has four full-service branches located at Main Library on 64 E. First St., Dobson Ranch Library on 2425 S. Dobson Road, Gateway Library on 5036 S. Eastmark Parkway, and Red Mountain Library on 635 N. Power Road.
During the month of September, current Mesa Public Library cardholders can also take advantage of a special offer. They can exchange their old card or replace a lost one for free (usually a two-dollar charge), as long as there are no fines or fees on their account.
