Mesa Public Library Hosts Community Cardmaking Events to Honor First Responders

TelAve News/10904822
~ As the National Day of Service on September 11 approaches, Mesa Public Library is calling on the community to join in honoring and supporting first responders through creativity and kindness. The library has organized cardmaking events at various locations from September 1 to 4, where families and individuals can use their artistic skills to design cards or write heartfelt notes for local first responders.

These hands-on activities aim to bring people of all ages together to reflect on the spirit of service and make a meaningful contribution to others. The events will take place at Red Mountain Library on September 1, Main Library on September 2, Gateway Library on September 3, and Dobson Ranch Library on September 4. All necessary supplies will be provided and no registration is required.

For those unable to attend the scheduled cardmaking sessions, the library encourages them to create their own cards at home and bring them to any of the four locations mentioned above by September 4. The library volunteers will then deliver these cards to police and fire stations throughout Mesa before September 11.

This initiative, known as Cards for First Responders, is just one of the many events organized by Mesa Public Library. For more information about this program and other upcoming library events, visit mesalibrary.org. Let us come together as a community and show our appreciation for our local first responders through these small acts of kindness.
