Mito Health Passes One Million Lab Tests, Expands to Seven Categories of Preventive Health Testing
TelAve News/10905379
The direct-to-consumer diagnostics marketplace now spans lab panels, at-home kits, imaging, whole genome sequencing and early cancer detection, with walk-in access nationwide and at-home blood draws in 35 states.
SAN FRANCISCO - TelAve -- Mito Health today announced it has run more than one million lab tests and has expanded beyond blood testing into seven categories of preventive health testing, giving customers one place to order diagnostics without insurance, a referral, or a surprise bill.
For its first two years, Mito Health served people ordering 100-plus-biomarker longevity panels. Today, its customers order tests for fertility planning, strength and body composition, baseline markers for chronic diseases, nutrient and heavy-metal screening, inherited disease risk, and tuberculosis testing required for school enrollment. Many might be between insurance plans or want to order tests directly rather than wait for approval.

"People rarely need just one kind of test," said Rhonda Collins, FNP-C, who supports clinical operations at Mito Health. "Someone looking at fertility, or at family history, often needs bloodwork and imaging and sometimes genetics. Having those in one place means fewer places to get lost."
"We wanted transparent preventive health prices, at cost, with one health membership," said Kenneth Lou, Co-founder and Chief executive of Mito Health. "We earn the same whether someone buys a lot, a little or nothing at all. That is what lets us tell a customer the most useful thing is often to test less, not more."
