Mobile Biochar Systems turn organic waste into renewable products

TelAve News/10880552
Our company motto will always be "Waste is not Waste until you Waste it."

WESTBROOK, Maine - TelAve -- In a bid to make many waste streams more sustainable, Mobile Biochar Systems Corp is emerging with an innovative waste management solution that transforms organic waste into a valuable renewable resource called Biochar, right where it is produced.

These systems use a clean thermal conversion process called pyrolysis, converting any organic material, like wood waste for example, to produce biochar, a charcoal like form of carbon that can be added to many renewable products while sequestering carbon for hundreds of years.  Unlike large scale biochar facilities requiring transporting biomass to a centralized location, our mobile biochar kilns are compact, mounted on a trailer and transportable by a half ton truck to your location.

"Instead of burning or landfilling organic materials, people can now convert them into a byproduct that is being developed in many new renewable products", said Kevin Bernard, Founder of Mobile Biochar Systems.  "We're seeing biochar uses move beyond the farm for soil amendment and into new markets of industrial applications.  Our mobile systems bring circular economy principles right to you supporting economic growth and climate resilience." said Bernard.

As governments, manufacturers and agricultural sectors push toward carbon neutrality, mobile biochar technologies are being tested worldwide, from small farms in North America, to reforestation projects in Africa.  Advocates say the portability and scalability of these systems could play a key role in achieving large scale carbon drawdown and supporting local economies from many locations.

The Maine Kiln, our flagship product, captures the syngas released during pyrolysis to self-sufficiently fuel the high heat process required to operate the system with no fossil fuels, reducing the carbon foot print and potentially producing carbon credits.
"Biochar is one of the few tools that can directly sequester carbon and making the process mobile is a game changer." said Dr Christopher Laine, CTO of Mobile Biochar Systems.
