MOUNT DORA, Fla. - TelAve -- Hurricane Milton passed through Central Florida in October leaving a path of destruction but Mount Dora, Florida, known as the "Festival City", will proceed with two major annual events scheduled for the end of October and first weekend in November.
Event Coordinator Janet Gamache says "Mount Dora saw some flooding and trees down but the Mount Dora Craft Fair and the Mount Dora Plant and Garden Fair are both going to take place as usual in the historic downtown district. People have been hit hard over the past few weeks and so many shows have been cancelled. It's really hurting many artists and vendors so we hope people will come out and make some purchases to support them."
Consistently ranked in the top 5 Best Craft Festivals in the nation by Sunshine Artists magazine, the 40th Mount Dora Craft Fair is set for October 26 & 27, 2024. More than 300 hand crafters and original artists will set up to show and sell on the streets of the historic downtown district.
