Multiples of America 64th National Convention Heading to Tucson, AZ

TelAve News/10853086
FRANKLIN, Tenn. - TelAve -- Multiples of America (also known as the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc.) plans to head to the Omni National Resort for its 2025 annual meeting, to be held July 24-26, 2025.

This convention will bring together parents and caregivers of multiples from around the nation. They'll connect to hear thought-provoking speakers and participate in motivational workshops. They'll build networks of support with others across the nation. They'll come together as an organization to review organizational business, recognize members for their contributions, and determine new directions.

"Multiples of America is excited to be heading to Tucson this summer," said Kim Simonich, Events Vice President. "Tucson is known for being the sunniest city in the United States, and this annual convention promises to bring a lot of sunshine to our organization and its members. Learning new skills and encountering new ideas will bring a brightness that attendees can take back to their daily lives and local clubs. Networking with friends new and old will generate a warmth of understanding. Plus, our conventions always have the sparkle of a few surprises…so stay tuned!"

An online forum prior to convention will give members not in attendance a chance to share thoughts about the organization's services and programs. And a review of speaker and workshop presentations in Multiple Connections, the organization's member publication, will give all members a chance to connect with the information and ideas presented in Tucson.

Founded in 1960, Multiples of America has been growing its services for over six decades, all primarily powered through the work of volunteers. Through those years, the organization has focused on providing resources, education, and support for families with multiples at all ages and stages. Challenges can include day-to-day care, as well as medical, emotional, financial, and educational issues. Multiples of America has also provided an abundance of scientific and medically-based research, in excess of 200 studies, for the purpose of informing and educating parents and caregivers on conditions that may be more frequently experienced with multiple births.

Data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to point toward the need for a support organization such as Multiples of America. The CDC documents around 31 twins per 1,000 births, with 54% of twins born with low birth weight and over 60% born preterm. Nearly all of higher order multiples (triples, quadruplets, etc.) are born preterm.
