NIKKO, Japan - TelAve -- Tobu Railway Group announces the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko on May 22, 2020. Located in Nikko, Japan, just two hours north of Tokyo's Asakusa Station, along the Tobu Railway Line, the hotel will be situated along magnificent Lake Chuzenji, Japan's highest altitude lake, with spectacular lake-front views. It will be the first Ritz-Carlton to feature luxuriating hot spring baths, invigorating guests with Japan's ultimate relaxation hospitality.
The hotel is designed as luxury residence blending with the natural environs. It will be a modern, luxury resort with a unique flair, incorporating traditional Japanese craftsmanship, reflecting the culture and natural beauty of Oku-Nikko – deep, wilderness Nikko. The communal baths, including a rotenburo or outdoor bath, will be filled with the natural mineral waters from the area hot springs that offer therapeutic benefits to the muscles and skin. Views of Mt. Nantai, Nikko's most prominent peak and the Kegon Falls, one of Japan's tallest waterfalls are within walking distance and hiking trails abound. With all this, guests will have a truly memorable experience replete with natural beauty, culture and history.
