Nova Classical STEM Academy to introduce teachers, demonstrate curriculum at May 16 open house

First-of-its-kind charter school opens this August in Lee County
FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Nova Classical STEM Academy will host an open house on May 16 that offers opportunities for families to explore the tuition-free public charter school ahead of its August opening.
The event will introduce additional members of the school's growing faculty, with select teachers expected to lead interactive demonstrations and workshops that highlight Nova Classical's hands-on, inquiry-based approach to learning.
Families will also be invited to attend grade-level breakout sessions for K–3, 4–5 and 6–7. School leaders will outline how Nova Classical blends the wisdom of Classical education with modern STEM instruction. These sessions will provide a closer look at curriculum, instructional methods and expectations for students at each stage.
"This is a chance for families to go beyond the overview and really understand how our model comes to life in the classroom," said Founding Principal Matt Sheets. "We're excited to introduce more of our teachers and give parents a clearer picture of how we are building a culture rooted in both academic excellence and strong character."

The open house begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Nova Classical's campus, 7101 Banway Road in Fort Myers. The event follows Nova Classical's recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, held April 18 in partnership with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. The celebratory event welcomed community leaders, families and supporters to campus ahead of the school's inaugural year. That milestone event, along with earlier open houses and community gatherings that drew hundreds of attendees, reflects continued momentum and strong local interest in the school's unique Classical-STEM model.
In addition to scheduled open house events, Nova Classical continues to offer campus tours for families interested in learning more about its programs, facilities and enrollment process.
Nova Classical STEM Academy will open in August 2026 serving grades K–7, with plans to expand annually through grade 12. The school is designed to integrate a Classical education foundation with STEM-focused, project-based learning, preparing students to think critically, communicate effectively and lead with integrity.
Enrollment is currently underway, and families may apply online at NovaClassical.net (http://www.novaclassical.net/).
