One Guy in Rural Indiana Used AI to Call 22 "24/7" Companies at 1 A.M. -- Only 8 Answered

No office, no staff, no data center out west -- a one-person Indiana company and its AI tested whether "24/7 emergency service" promises hold at 1 a.m. Full results, recordings and named companies published.

WILKINSON, Ind. - TelAve -- There's no office. There's no data center. There's no venture-backed team out west. There's one guy in a town of 400 people in rural Indiana - and in the early hours of Monday morning, his AI ran an experiment most customers have wondered about but nobody had tested: if you call a "24/7 emergency service" company at one in the morning, does a human actually pick up?

Adam Ferree, sole founder of RevenuePack in Hancock County, had an AI voice agent call 22 central Indiana service businesses - plumbers, locksmiths, tow operators, HVAC and garage-door companies - every one advertising 24/7 emergency service on its own website. The calls went out between 12:45 and 1:11 a.m.

The results: 8 of 22 put a real person on the phone. 5 went to voicemail. 6 never answered. 2 hit only a phone tree. 1 was unclear.

"The companies that answered at 1 a.m. deserve the credit - that's a hard promise to keep, and they kept it," Ferree said. "But a customer with a burst pipe at 1 a.m. doesn't leave a voicemail. They call the next name on the list. That's the call nobody ever knows they lost."

Every call, recording, and result is published at https://revenuepack.com/audit - including the eight companies that passed, by name.

The part nobody expects: the entire operation - the overnight calls, the published result pages, the follow-up emails to all 22 companies the next morning - was designed, run, and delivered by one person and his AI tools. No staff. No call center.

"Everybody thinks AI is some big tech company thing out in a data center in California," Ferree said. "It's not. It's a dude in Indiana helping the plumber down the road stop losing jobs to a phone that nobody picks up at night."

RevenuePack's product is exactly that: an AI receptionist that answers a small business's missed calls around the clock, takes the job details, and pages the owner - flat $249 a month, no contracts, no lead fees. Skeptics can call the live demo line at (765) 200-9397 any hour and try to stump it. The AI that answers is the same one that made the 1 a.m. calls.

The audit was run honestly: verified business landlines only, one short call each, and every company was sent its own result and recording the same morning - pass or fail.
