Pamela Price: Justice Is In Her DNA
TelAve News/10887782
From surviving the foster care system to challenging Yale, from decades of civil rights litigation to becoming the first African American DA in Alameda County, Pamela Price's life reflects a singular truth: She does not back down from injustice — she confronts it. Pamela Price: Justice Is in Her DNA.

Civil rights attorney and former Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price, who has blazed trails from the courtroom to the Supreme Court, is once again stepping forward as the first candidate to publicly declare her vision for a fair, transparent, and community-centered justice system, during an upcoming debate for the position of Alameda County District Attorney.
Price's campaign emphasizes what supporters have long known: Pamela Price is a champion for the people, delivering justice for all. The 'go along to get along' appointed Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson has yet to agree to debate Price, who according to her campaign was unjustly recalled due to lies, misinformation, and manipulation of the media.

Price's legal leadership is rooted in lived experience. As a survivor of sexual assault and the foster care system, Price refuses to be silenced. She took on her alma mater Yale University to protect other young women who had been sexually assaulted, helping pave the way for the Title IX protections that safeguard millions of students today. Her courage in that fight shaped a lifelong commitment to justice, fairness, and accountability at all costs.
A Historic First — And a Historic Fight
In 2023, Pamela Price became the first African American District Attorney in Alameda County history, bringing long-overdue transparency, expanded victim services, and accountability to institutions that had never been held to account.

Her reforms challenged entrenched systems — and powerful interests fought back. Supporters argue that the recall campaign was fueled by "Trumped-up charges" designed to undermine the will of the voters and reverse progress. Price is now making history again as the first DA in county history to fight to reclaim her elected office after a recall.
Her campaign frames this moment as bigger than one election. With President Trump seeking to expand political influence across the country, supporters say Alameda County must not become a target. They argue that Price is standing her ground to protect the county from national political forces that want to take territory in one of the most diverse, progressive regions in America.
