MARIETTA, Ga. - TelAve -- AutoMobility Advisors (AMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pom Malhotra to their growing consulting practice as a Principal Consultant. Pom brings more than 30 years of global automotive experience across General Motors/OnStar and Audi/Volkswagen Group, and will leverage his expertise in connected vehicle strategy, platform commercialization, and OEM joint-venture leadership to support AMA's clients across North America, Europe and China.

Pom spent 16 years at General Motors and OnStar, where he built the company's Global Center of Expertise for Telematics and led the program that laid the foundation for the Shanghai OnStar joint venture — one of the earliest examples of a U.S. automaker building a connected services business in China.

He then spent 15 years at Audi and Volkswagen Group of America, where he built the company's connected vehicle subscription business from the ground up, launching the industry's first broadband in-vehicle connected service and its first V2X offering — real-time traffic light information — among other industry firsts. He later served as Vice President, Future Business Development for FAW-Audi Sales Company, Audi's joint venture in China, leading digitalization and data strategy in one of the world's most competitive EV markets.

Pom's work on connected vehicle safety technology earned national attention, including an NBC Today Show feature on a C-V2X school bus safety demonstration he championed — part of a broader effort that contributed to the FCC's designation of C-V2X as the national connected vehicle standard.
