"We are delighted to align with the NIAAA for many reasons, but one of the biggest is to continue providing resources to the amazing Athletic Administrators that are making a difference on their high school campuses every day," said Ryan Pederson, President of Positive Athlete. "If there is a way that we can continue to provide free resources to schools that help promote the development and character recognition of young athletes, we will pursue it, and this alliance goes a long way in helping that effort.
Phil Rison, Executive Director of the NIAAA also shared excitement in the alignment, stating: "The NIAAA is proud to align with Positive Athlete because recognition is not just a celebration — it is a catalyst. Studies show that students who receive positive recognition are 30% more likely to stay engaged in school and athletics, and nearly 70% of young people say being recognized motivates them to work harder. This partnership allows us to amplify that impact by providing administrators, coaches, and communities with a platform to honor student-athletes whose leadership and character inspire others.
