Recyclable Air Cushion Packaging by DAHO P&C Earns Eco-Label Certification
TelAve News/10905431
GEUM CHUN - GU, South Korea - TelAve -- DAHO P&C Co., Ltd., a Korean packaging materials manufacturer, announced that its air cushion packaging product has obtained EL-727 eco-label certification under the Environmental Technology and Industry Support Act.
Packaging materials, including air cushion packaging, have recently become an increasingly important consideration for companies selling consumer products. This is largely due to the sharp rise in non-face-to-face consumption following the spread of COVID-19, which has led to a significant increase in general waste generated during packaging and delivery.
As the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement reported that packaging waste accounts for more than half of the household waste generated annually in South Korea, a growing number of companies are seeking innovations in packaging materials as part of their ESG management efforts and commitment to environmental protection.
Plastic air cushion packaging is an essential material used to prevent products from being damaged during transit. DAHO P&C's eco-friendly air cushion packaging is therefore expected to offer a practical solution for online businesses that rely heavily on parcel delivery, as it may help reduce packaging material costs and enhance corporate value.

Unlike conventional plastic packaging made from petrochemical materials, the EL-727-certified air cushion packaging developed by DAHO P&C, a Korean packaging materials manufacturer, uses plant-based materials extracted from sugarcane. The product is designed to reduce the risks associated with the release of carbon dioxide and other harmful substances during incineration. It is also recyclable, helping to reduce the amount of waste generated.
Young-jong Kwon, CEO of DAHO P&C, a Korean packaging materials manufacturer, said, "As environmental responsibility becomes essential, sustainable packaging materials can enhance a company's image and value while also influencing consumer choices. As a leading company in eco-friendly air cushion packaging, DAHO P&C will continue to develop higher-quality products with the environment in mind."
Since 2015, DAHO P&C has continuously conducted research and development in the field of eco-friendly packaging materials. The company specializes in air packaging technology and has established a strong reputation as a supplier of air cushion packaging components to South Korea's automotive industry. In addition to air cushion packaging, DAHO P&C manufactures a range of products, including insulating bubble wrap for windows and protective mailing envelopes.
