Cutting-edge monitoring technology enhances safety and quality of care for intermediate care residents
MANCHESTER, U.K. - TelAve -- ROCHDALE – Tudor Court Intermediate Care facility has become the first in Rochdale to implement advanced Wellbeing Sensor technology, following investment from Rochdale Borough Council. The official launch took place on 8th January 2026 at the 24-bedded facility, marking a significant milestone in the borough's commitment to innovative, person-centred care.
The initiative, funded by Rochdale Borough Council, has seen Wellbeing Sensors installed in seven rooms at Tudor Court.
This state-of-the-art technology uses non-intrusive monitoring to enhance resident safety, improve care outcomes, and support staff in delivering timely, responsive care.
Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Adult Care, said:
"This investment represents our commitment to providing the highest quality care for Rochdale's residents. The Wellbeing Sensor technology allows us to enhance safety and dignity for those in intermediate care, while supporting our dedicated care staff with the tools they need to deliver excellent, responsive care."

The Wellbeing Sensor system provides real-time monitoring of resident activity and wellbeing indicators, enabling care staff to respond proactively to changing needs.
The technology operates without cameras, preserving privacy and dignity while delivering comprehensive care support.
Tudor Court's intermediate care facility provides essential rehabilitation and recovery services for residents transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings.
The introduction of Wellbeing Sensors is expected to enhance the quality of care during this critical period.
The pilot program will be evaluated over the coming months, with potential for expansion across other care facilities in the borough based on outcomes and resident feedback.
