MONTREAL - TelAve -- The Rust Foundation (https://rustfoundation.org), the independent nonprofit organization dedicated to stewarding and supporting the Rust programming language and its global community, today announced two new Platinum members: Solana Foundation (https://solana.org/), a non-profit dedicated to the decentralization, growth and security of Solana – the high performance network powering internet capital markets, payments, AI agents, and crypto applications, and NVIDIA (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/) the world leader in AI and accelerated computing. The announcements were made by Rust Foundation Executive Director & CEO Dr. Rebecca Rumbul during her opening remarks at RustConf 2026. Platinum membership is the Foundation's highest level available.

Dr. Rumbul said the following about Solana Foundation and NVIDIA joining as Platinum members:

Solana:

As one of the most active and fastest-growing developer ecosystems built natively on Rust, Solana's support strengthens the Rust Foundation's ability to invest in the people and programs that keep Rust secure, sustainable, and thriving for the many industries, from blockchain to cloud infrastructure to AI, that now depend on it.
