Savannah's scDataCom Technician John Aquino Named 2025 Security Technician of the Year

SAVANNAH, Ga. - TelAve -- (DALLAS/SAVANNAH, Ga.) – The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) has announced that John Aquino, a security systems technician with Savannah-based scDataCom, has been named one of ten winners of the 2025 Security Technician of the Year Awards.
Now in its third year, the national awards program recognizes security professionals whose skill, dedication, and technical expertise play a vital role in keeping communities safe. Aquino was honored for his exceptional technical performance, leadership, and commitment to delivering secure, reliable solutions for scDataCom clients.
"John's dedication and precision reflect the core values that drive everything we do at scDataCom," said Alaina Meyer, President of scDataCom. "His recognition by FAST is a testament to his professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity. We are proud to see his talent celebrated on a national stage and to represent Savannah in this distinguished group of honorees."

The 2025 Security Technician of the Year Awards will be presented by FAST during ISC East 2025 on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 4:00 p.m. EST, on the Bridge Stage in New York City.
FAST is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization established by the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Electronic Security Association (ESA) to promote workforce development and career advancement in the physical security and life safety industries.
