Seapines AI Launches ReelLife Hockey Beta — On-Device AI Turns Games into Shareable Reels
TelAve News/10899309
New iOS app finds goals, saves, and big plays locally — no cloud uploads, no video-editing skills required
TORONTO - TelAve -- Seapines AI today launched beta testing for ReelLife Hockey, an iPhone and iPad app that automatically builds highlight reels from full game footage. Parents, players, coaches, and fans can import a recording from Photos or Files and get a share-ready reel in minutes — with goals prioritized and other key moments ranked by on-device AI.
ReelLife Hockey automatically finds highlights on the user's device. Game footage is never uploaded to Seapines AI or third-party servers.
FROM FULL GAMES TO HIGHLIGHTS
Most families record every game, but few have the time or know-how to turn hours of footage into something people will actually watch. ReelLife Hockey is built for that reality:
- Import game video from Photos, Files, iCloud, or any app via Share extension
- Detect hockey action with purpose-built on-device AI — players, puck, goals, faceoffs, and net-front play
- Rank moments using camera motion, object tracking, and crowd audio to help confirm big plays
- Classify plays near the net — goal, save, miss, rebound, scrum
More on TelAve News
- Build a cutlist with goals first, then saves, physical plays, and other highlights
- Export a polished MP4 ready for team chat, social media, or family sharing
Reels default to 30 seconds and can be set to any length on Pro. Full-game analysis typically takes 30 to 45 minutes — users can walk away and resume if interrupted.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
ReelLife Hockey processes video locally using models bundled with the app, including hockey-specific object detection, Apple SoundAnalysis for crowd and cheer classification, and a quantized on-device vision-language model. Users can save a .reellife sidecar file to reopen a finished analysis without re-running the full pipeline.
"Your camera roll is full of game videos, but who has time to scrub through hours of footage?" said Jimmy Lo, Founder of Seapines AI. "ReelLife Hockey does the tedious part — watching the game, finding the moments that matter, and building a reel grandparents will actually watch — without sending footage to the cloud."
