Richmond Entrepreneur and Experiential Marketing Pioneer Honored by Organization with Deep Personal Roots

RICHMOND, VA April 2026 Sharone Reid, founder and CEO of Focus & Fabulous Events, was recognized as a People's Choice Award nominee at the Metropolitan Business League's annual awards ceremony, a milestone that carries profound personal significance for the Richmond-based entrepreneur.

For Reid, the Metropolitan Business League is not simply a professional organization. It is a legacy institution she has admired since childhood, watching her stepfather earn his own MBL nomination as a business owner. She can still recall her mother taking her to the awards dressed in her first formal gown for what felt like the most glamorous night of her young life.

"And now here I am, all dressed up, being celebrated by the same organization I watched my stepfather walk into," said Reid. "That's not just an honor that's full circle."

The People's Choice nomination comes on the heels of Reid being named MBL Entrepreneur of the Month for October 2025, recognizing her contributions to Richmond's business community through experiential marketing, AI-powered event experiences, and entrepreneurship education.

Founded in 2013, Focus & Fabulous Events has grown from a local photo booth operation into a nationally deployed experiential marketing company serving corporate clients including the Washington Commanders, Capital One, Navy Federal Credit Union, NASCAR, and the CDC. Reid also leads several industry communities including the ChitChat Photo Booth Owners Community and AI Photo Booth Academy, and recently spoke at Photo Booth Expo 2026 and the Strong Women Conference.

The evening also featured an inspiring address by Richmond's own Grammy-winning artist Mad Skillz, whose remarks resonated deeply with Reid and fellow creatives in attendance.
