EAST ORANGE, N.J. - TelAve -- Shavana Kundan, co-owner and lead chef of Everything Nice with Spice, located at 13 North Harrison Street, East Orange, NJ, has achieved Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Certification. This milestone allows the restaurant to access exclusive benefits that support business growth while contributing to the local economy.
With UEZ certification, Everything Nice with Spice now gains access to tax exemptions on certain purchase, employee tax credits, and gains access to funding opportunities designed to help urban businesses thrive. These resources will enable the restaurant to expand operations, create new jobs, and deepen its connection to the East Orange community.
"Achieving UEZ certification is an exciting step for our restaurant," said Kundan. "Not only does it help us grow, but it also allows us to give back to our customers and the community. Sharing the flavors of home while making a positive impact is truly rewarding."
