She Ran Hospitals Before Learning What Leadership Cost Her. Her New Book Helps Other Women Avoid It
TelAve News/10906410
After 32 years in healthcare, Mo Faul's book argues high-achieving women can't think their way out of exhaustion. Foreword by New York Times bestseller DeVon Franklin.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - TelAve -- Mo Faul had reached the top when she realized what the climb had cost.
At 46, recovering from a double mastectomy, she could no longer be productive for anyone.
"For the first time in years, I couldn't outrun the feeling that something in me had gone quiet," Faul said. "So I sat still. I didn't have a choice. And what I finally heard was that it was time to be the soul version of me."
She left her executive career and began coaching. Twelve years and more than 2,200 women later, she has written the method down.
Soul Code: Your Hidden Power to Create the Life You Want releases September 15. Franklin writes, "The DaVinci Code is based entirely on fiction, whereas Soul Code is entirely based on fact."
The book argues: burnout is not a discipline problem. It is a nervous system problem.
"You cannot think your way out of a body that believes it is under attack," Faul said. "I was doing every right thing I knew and still running on fumes. What I finally understood is that discipline was never the problem."

Soul Code begins with physiology, covering the nervous system, chronic stress, vagus nerve activation, breathing, and meditation. The soul work comes after the body has been addressed.
The Soul Code Method includes five milestones: Understand Your Soul Code; Find Your Soul's Source; Optimize Your Soul's Vibration; Utilize Your Soul's Energy; and Live with LOVErage, Faul's term for leverage powered by love rather than urgency.
Readers apply it through journal prompts, a Soul Print worksheet, a Soul Mission Statement, and 17 practices. Client stories include a legal secretary who reached the C-suite in under five years and a 56-year-old educator who described herself as anxiety-free.
"The corporate world doesn't reward any of what women carry," Faul said. "But it demands all of it just the same. I wrote this for the woman who has done everything right and still feels like something inside her went quiet."
Soul Code is available for preorder in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover on Amazon.
Coach Mo will host free live sessions September 15 and bring Soul Code LIVE to Fort Lauderdale September 19, Philadelphia October 17, and Dallas November 14. More information: thesoulcodebook.com.
