Spokane: Flags to be Lowered for Trooper Killed in Line of Duty

TelAve News/10884475
~ In a show of respect and remembrance, Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff. This decision comes after Governor Bob Ferguson's directive for state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities to also be lowered in honor of Washington State Patrol Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting.

Trooper Guting tragically lost her life while on duty on Friday, December 19, while investigating a collision in Tacoma. In light of this devastating loss, flags will be lowered on Friday, December 26 and will remain at half-staff until Monday, December 29.
