On Sunday, the City announced the launch of their H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund, which will temporarily focus on aiding individuals and families affected by the ongoing fires.

According to Erin Hut, Communications Director for the City of Spokane, donations can now be made through this designated fund. Every dollar donated will go directly towards meeting immediate needs and supporting recovery efforts for those impacted by the wildfires.

Mayor Lisa Brown expressed her confidence in the generosity and resilience of the Spokane community. "Spokane has always stepped up when our neighbors need us most," she stated. "The destruction caused by these wildfires is heartbreaking, but we also know the strength and resilience of our community. This fund gives people a simple and trusted way to help families as they begin the difficult road to recovery."
