TelAve News/10901847
~ On July 18th, 2026, a group of 15 to 20 juveniles were reported riding through the Southside Sports Complex on E-Motorcycles. According to Officer T. Leming, PIO, the incident was reported around noon by concerned callers. Upon arrival, officers found that the group had scattered.
After a thorough search, officers were able to track down eight children between the ages of 8 and 14. It was later discovered that the event had been promoted through social media and some of the underage drivers had traveled from Spokane Valley on their E-Motorcycles.
In light of this incident, officers took the opportunity to educate both the children and their parents on the laws surrounding E-Motorcycles in Washington state. They also emphasized the dangers of not using these vehicles in an appropriate manner. As a result, parents were called to the scene to take custody of their children as well as their E-Motorcycles.
