~ Spokane Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect involved in a homicide. According to Officer Daniel Strassenberg, Public Information Office, on October 29th, 2024, the department received multiple calls for assistance at the 3700 block of East 1st Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim had already been taken to a nearby hospital by a passing motorist. The victim had sustained fatal stab wounds during an altercation and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

After conducting interviews with witnesses, detectives from SPD's Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have identified Orlando Jaramillo (33) as the suspect and have obtained probable cause for his arrest on charges of 2nd Degree Murder. Jaramillo is described as being 5'9" tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds with brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous due to his extensive criminal history.
