~ Webster County deputies have arrested Brandon Johnson, 20, in connection with the shooting of Danny Dayton, 23, in Springfield. The incident occurred on November 11 at approximately 4:49 p.m. at 1932 E. Verona.

Upon arrival at the scene, Springfield police officers found Dayton outside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim.

Johnson, who is considered armed and dangerous, had fled the scene before officers arrived. Detectives are currently investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information or knowledge of Johnson's whereabouts to contact the Springfield Police Department or make an anonymous call to CrimeStoppers.

The victim's autopsy will be conducted by the Greene County Medical Examiner's Office. No further details are available at this time.
