~ Springfield Environmental Services and the Missouri Water Environment Association are teaming up to bring a special movie screening and community discussion to the public. The event, titled "Our Blue World," will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Moxie Cinema.
The film, which is appropriate for individuals 16 and older, takes viewers on a global journey to showcase the efforts being made to protect and restore water systems. From communities facing drought and flooding to new technologies promoting cleaner water, "Our Blue World" highlights both the challenges we face and the practical solutions being implemented.
Laurie Davis, Environmental Services Outreach and Education Coordinator, emphasized the importance of water in our daily lives. "Water connects us all, and this film provides a chance to reflect on its significance not only in Springfield but also beyond," she said.
