~ The Springfield Police Department is set to hold a promotion ceremony on Friday, November 3rd at 1:30 p.m. at the Springfield Regional Police and Fire Training Center. The event will see several officers being promoted to higher ranks.

Among those being promoted are Corporal Jason Friend and Corporal Chris Snipes, who will both be promoted to the rank of sergeant. Officer Charles Alexander, Officer Tony D'Andrea, Officer Clint Collier, Officer Shawn McClure, and Officer Daniel Rowles will also be promoted to the rank of sergeant.

These promotions took effect on October 29th and the newly appointed sergeants will begin their new assignments on November 12th. Additionally, Officer Clint Collier, Officer Shawn McClure, and Officer Daniel Rowles will be promoted to the rank of corporal on November 12th.
