Springfield, Mo. ~ As construction on the roof of the Springfield Police Department headquarters begins, visitors and employees will need to take note of some temporary changes. Starting on Monday, October 13, the driveway from Chestnut Expressway that leads to the police department lobby and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department (SGCHD) will be closed. Additionally, the parking area to the west of the police department will also be closed during this time.

According to officials, this closure is expected to last until Tuesday, October 14. However, there will still be options for parking and accessibility during this period. Temporary ADA-accessible parking spaces will be available in the parking lot north of SGCHD for visitors to both departments. A marked pathway will also lead pedestrians to the front door of the police headquarters.

To help visualize these changes, a map has been provided showing the affected parking lot and alternative options for public parking and ADA-accessible spaces. The construction is expected to be completed by Tuesday, October 14.
