Squirrel Internet Connects New Communities with netElastic Virtual BNG
TelAve News/10816139
Software-Based BNG Enables Alt-Net Provider to Bring Fiber to More Customers
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - TelAve -- netElastic, an innovative software company providing high-performance routing solutions, today announced that Squirrel Internet, an Altnet provider in the United Kingdom, selected netElastic's virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG) for its scalability and interoperability with Squirrel's wholesale networks.
Founded in 2020, Squirrel has used wholesale fiber networks to grow quickly by offering faster broadband speeds at lower prices. This growth required a full-featured BNG that could support Squirrel's diverse networks. After looking at solutions from large router manufacturers, Squirrel chose netElastic's software-based BNG.
"netElastic vBNG delivered all the features we needed on day one, such as IPv4 and IPv6 support, and netElastic supports wholesale networks," said Daniel B., Technical Director at Squirrel Internet. "With the netElastic vBNG solution, there is no limit to how far we can expand. The features are there, and the BNG capacity is easy to upgrade as we grow."

Daniel continued, "We installed netElastic vBNG in our data center, where it still is today. It's been up for over 740 days, so what more can we ask for?"
"Squirrel and the Altnet community are disrupting the broadband status quo by bringing new coverage and better customer service to subscribers," stated David Williams, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at netElastic. "netElastic vBNG is an ideal fit with Squirrel since vBNG's scalability and high-performance are helping Squirrel offer their customers affordable and fast broadband packages."
