Milestone Moment to Be Marked with Local Students from Rodgers Middle School Friday, April 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm
ST. LOUIS - TelAve -- The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum will mark a major milestone on Friday, April 24 at 1:00 pm as it welcomes its 100,000th visitor since opening its doors in November 2022.
This meaningful moment will be shared with students from Rodgers Middle School in Affton, MO, underscoring the Museum's central role as a leading educational resource for the St. Louis region. Since opening, students have made up a significant portion of the Museum's visitors, reflecting the growing demand for Holocaust education -- particularly following Missouri's Holocaust Education Mandate.
At 1:00 pm, students will be welcomed by Executive Director Myron Freedman for a brief, 15-minute ceremony marking this milestone moment. The gathering will recognize the significance of reaching 100,000 visitors and honor the role of students and educators in carrying forward the Museum's mission of Holocaust education and remembrance.
Reaching 100,000 visitors is more than a number. It represents thousands of individuals, many of them young people, who have engaged with the history of the Holocaust, encountered survivor testimony, and left with a deeper understanding of the consequences of hatred, indifference, and misinformation.
