BOSTON - TelAve -- Synterex, a clinical and regulatory consulting agency serving the life sciences industry, announced it has been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, one of the world's most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings. The distinction places Synterex among the top 5% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis globally. The recognition reinforces Synterex's commitment to responsible business practices at a time when life sciences companies are increasingly evaluating partners on sustainability, ethics, labor practices, and supply chain accountability.

Synterex has held a Bronze medal, which is awarded to companies in the top 35%, or 65th percentile and above, for several consecutive years. This year, rather than leveling up incrementally to Silver, the company advanced directly to Gold, placing it in the top 5%, or 95th percentile and above, skipping over the Silver tier altogether.

EcoVadis evaluates companies across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Medals are calculated and awarded based on a company's percentile rank compared to all assessed companies in the EcoVadis database over the previous 12 months, across all industries rather than within a single sector. Companies are not eligible for a medal if any of their four theme scores fall below 30, highlighting how comprehensive a business's performance must be to earn recognition.

Towles attributes the company's success in part to its Green Team, a group of employees across departments who are dedicated to corporate sustainability. Current and past initiatives have included reducing paper use, encouraging lower-emission commuting practices, organizing community cleanups, supporting digital decluttering efforts, and strengthening sustainable procurement practices.
