Texas: Governor Abbott Announces 2026 Governor's Small Business Summit Host Cities

~ Governor Greg Abbott has announced the 15 Texas communities that have been selected to host the 2026 Governor's Small Business Summit. These summits, held throughout the year in different regions of the state, aim to support small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs by providing them with resources and information to start, strengthen, and grow their businesses.
In his statement, Governor Abbott emphasized the importance of small businesses in the Texas economy. With over 3.5 million small businesses employing nearly half of all working Texans, Texas remains a leader in job creation. He congratulated the selected communities and encouraged small business owners and entrepreneurs to participate in these summits.
The Governor's Small Business Summits offer a variety of sessions that bring together local, state, and federal resource partners to provide insights on critical business topics. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other business owners and experts who will share valuable advice on various small business topics.
Registration for the first two summit locations, Allen and Cuero, is now open. Registration for the remaining summits will open three months prior to each event. The full list of summit locations is as follows:

The 2026-2027 Texas Business Licenses & Permits Guide provides information on state-level business licenses or permits required for specific business activities.
