~ Governor Greg Abbott has made several appointments this week, selecting qualified individuals to serve on behalf of the people of Texas. Among these appointments are Chance Peeler to the Credit Union Commission, Matt Glaves and Jerry Romero to the Texas Emergency Services Retirement System Board of Trustees, and Chris Cantu to the Texas Veterans Commission.

Peeler has been appointed to the Credit Union Commission for a term that will expire on February 15, 2031. The Commission is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Credit Union Department and ensuring that state credit unions operate effectively.

Glaves and Romero have been reappointed to the Texas Emergency Services Retirement System Board of Trustees, while Chris Anderson has been newly appointed. Their terms will expire on September 1, 2031. In addition, Lindsay Price and Matt Hohon have been appointed to the board for terms that will end on September 1, 2027. The Board is responsible for governing a dedicated retirement fund for volunteer firefighters and emergency services personnel in Texas.

Lastly, Governor Abbott has appointed Chris Cantu to the Texas Veterans Commission for a term that will end on December 31, 2031.
