~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Donna Hansen as the new Judge of the 523rd Judicial District Court in Montgomery County. The appointment will be effective from September 1, 2026, and her term will expire on December 31, 2028, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Hansen, a resident of Conroe, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She currently serves as a division chief and assistant district attorney for the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. Prior to this, she worked as an assistant district attorney for the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

She also serves on the State Child Fatality Review Team Committee and the Children's Safe Harbor Board.

Hansen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston and a Juris Doctor from Regent University. With her extensive background in law and dedication to serving her community, she is well-equipped to serve as Judge for the 523rd Judicial District Court.
