Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Jaramillo To 458th Judicial District Court

~ Fort Bend County, TX - Governor Greg Abbott has announced the appointment of Maggie Jaramillo as the new Judge of the 458th Judicial District Court in Fort Bend County. The appointment will be effective from January 1, 2025, and will last until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Jaramillo, a resident of Richmond, currently serves as an Associate Judge for the 268th Judicial District Court in Fort Bend County. She brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as Judge of the 400th Judicial District Court and as an assistant district attorney for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office.

In addition to her legal career, Jaramillo has also worked in private practice and served as an assistant county attorney for Starr County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has previously been involved with organizations such as the Fort Bend County Bar Association and the Fort Bend County Mental Health Board.

Jaramillo's dedication to her community is evident through her involvement with various organizations such as the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3903 and the Fort Bend National Hispanic Scholarship Fund. She is also a member of St. Laurence Parish and volunteers with the Fort Bend County Fair Association.

Jaramillo holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University and a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Her extensive experience and commitment to serving others make her a valuable addition to the judiciary in Fort Bend County.
