Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Six To Trinity River Authority Board Of Directors

~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment and reappointment of six individuals to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors. The authority is responsible for overseeing the development and conservation of surface water resources in the Trinity River Basin.

Jeff Bradley, a resident of Huntsville, has been appointed to the board for a term set to expire on March 15, 2025. Bradley is the owner of Jeff Bradley Co. and is known for his volunteer work with organizations such as the Texas Alliance for Life and the Huntsville Cemetery Board. He is also a former trustee of the American Orchid Society and has been recognized for his efforts in preserving rare orchids. Bradley studied natural sciences at The University of Texas at Austin, theology at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and completed theological studies at Fontgombault Abbey in France.

Joining Bradley on the board is Casey Yeary Callas, who has been appointed for a term set to expire on March 15, 2029. Callas, a resident of Apple Springs, brings her experience as a realtor, business owner, operator, and investor to the board. She is also actively involved in her community as a volunteer for organizations such as the Angelina County Youth Fair and former board member of the Ellen Trout Zoo.

The Governor has also reappointed four members to serve on the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors until March 15, 2029. Megan Deen from Fort Worth will continue her role as chief financial officer for the Fort Worth Zoological Association while also serving on various boards such as the Junior League of Fort Worth and Trinity Valley School.

Steve Roberts from Coldspring will continue his service on the board after retiring from his career as an attorney. Roberts was previously a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and Eversheds-Sutherland LLP before dedicating his time to community involvement with organizations like Archway Academy and Cornerstone Recovery.

Dave Ward, a rancher from Madisonville, has been reappointed to the board after serving for over forty years. Ward is a member and former president of the Madisonville Sidewalk Cattlemen's Association and has also been involved in various community organizations such as the Madison County ISD Scholarship Foundation and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Cathy Altman, an attorney from Midlothian, has also been reappointed to the board. Altman brings her expertise in construction law to the board and is a member of several professional organizations such as the American Bar Association and State Bar of Texas. She has also been recognized for her achievements as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Texas by Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters.

These appointments and reappointments by Governor Abbott will ensure that the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors continues to have a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of experience and expertise.
